Hi, I wonder what are the most common dimple die sizes used in car fabrication. I’m looking for a set but are expensive, so I can only buy 2 or 3 dies for now.

At this point, you may be better off checking out suppliers, and how long it will take to get the dies, and then waiting until you know what you need for the project at hand and get that/those size/s you actually at that time? If you later have a job that needs something you don't have, you can add to the collection, then.

Thanks for the advice

Hi Enrique, I think its best that you choose the diameter of dimple die that will suit the parts that your working on. Dimple dies are very specific to the type of area you need dimpled, in motorsport its quiet common to see 1" to 2" holes dimpled and I started off with a 1.25" dimple die to do roll cages gussets. Hope this helps.
