Hi from Spain!

i just got the course and I’m looking forward to start some projects. Most of them require tu bend tube and I’m in the market for a tube bender. I want to make a tie rod and a tire carrier for my 4x4. I wonder if one bender like this would be enough and what would be the best material tu use: https://www.amazon.es/dp/B07HY99BQ3/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_dV.VFbYM8XMG6

thank you

I have rogue fab and love it.

Well, it is cheap. However that type isn't very good for anything other than moderate bends, preferably with thick wall pipes, as they have a tendency to kink and crush tubes. There is also no re-out on the actual angle the pipe is being taken to, or easy assessing of spring back.

From your other post, I assume you're at the very early stages of your fabrication experience and are looking to get some equipment together, and you're finding out that it can be an expensive process? Similar to my suggestion there, i would hold off getting a bender until I knew I needed it, and then get something that did actually meet my needs - it's a bit more expensive initially, but it doesn't take many messed up bends to make up the cost in material and time.

before you go any further in your purchasing, I would strongly recommend you put some evenings aside and check out this web site - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcxlBLmujrjTVSSUkzZ2Jlg - he has some very good advice and suggestions. In this case, perhaps starting with this before going back to the start - https://www.youtube.com/c/TheFabricatorSeries/search?query=bender - especially if you're planning chassis work.

Yeah, I’m just starting, budget is tight, but I guess I need some tools to practice even if they are not the best.

thanks for the tips

Kikemad, how did you get on. I have a similar bender but its really a pipe bender not a tube bender. Looking at options of material that would work for motorsport fab with it if possible
