Hi guys,

First off, loving the course! Learning so much along the way and giving me much inspiration to get my build finished!

But as the title states, im looking to mount my radiator into the rear of my pickup! For more than one reason but most importantly space! Now the mounting and positioning of it all isnt a problem but whats the correct way to plumb in correctly? Surely running silicone hose is not ideal and simply ugly. How do drifters do it? What is the correct method because i cant find anything online to explain the process!

I plan on running dual fans to draw the heat away and fabricating some air ducts into the rad for air flow! I see Nigel has mounted his near the floor but hear in the UK that wouldnt last a week before it bursts haha! So it seems the plumbing is the only thing im getting hung up on!

Many thanks in advance and hope you guys can help!

Most would use a couple of tubes running down the transmission tunnel. Aluminium (check alloy and treatment as some bend easily, but some will just crack), stainless steel, or even plain mild tube. I suppose you could go for titanium, too, but $$$.

Diameter will depend on engine power and room to work with.

Well the engine itself is a 2.8 VR6 Turbo and its built for 600bhp so ideally its got to be capable to match that if not more! Ive heard that you dont need to put in an electric pump to increase flow?

Space for routing isnt a problem, its just overall component size im trying to figure out!
