I recently took hold a 1974 Dodge Dart aground it is a solid car but over its life time it has a lot of different people working on it ,with a lot of it having to be put right

one of the jobs was the exhaust system. So I started by stripping the old one out and planning out an idea of how the new one should be made

I layed under the car planning the route I wanted the new one to take ,where I wanted the mufflers to sit , number of bends needed and how close to the body it should be

a good tip I learnt from one of Nigel’s old videos is buy the bends in bulk it works out cheaper in the long run

i coudnt find any tidy looking exhaust hangers so I draw a set on AutoCAD and sent them to a plasma cutters

i also added some cut outs for a bit of fun too

Wow Joe, that’s some impressive work, love those dump valves and the mounts you had cut. Really clean work mate. Keep the pics coming and the updates.

Yup, not a fan of cut-outs, but that is one of the best implimentations I've seen - going to put turn-downs on them as well?

I also like that you bothered to fit some heat shields, most people wouldn't.

Thank you Nigel and Gord much appreciated ,

yes the cut outs arnt for everyone but they just and that little bit of extra fun

The heat shielding was just a thought out because it was needed and I always think when shielding is put on the under body it just looks messy

but yes it has turn downs all fitted to it and I’m looking forward to the start up
